Holy Monastery of Saint Panteleimon

This miraculous icon of Saint Panteleimon was originally located in the old mountain monastery from which it was often moved to the seaside monastery of the Ascension, but it miraculously returned to its original position. But when the new Monastery was built, he remained steadfast in it.

Initially it was placed in the katholikon, church of Saint Panteleimon and then in the Church of Agia Skepi. Saint Panteleimon twice saved the Monastery from fires that broke out in the surrounding forests and threatened to incinerate it.
