Try this alternative and delicious fish pie roll recipe for your table. Orthodox monks usually make this fish pie roll during the fast when eating fish is allowed. Here is a delicious recipe from Mount Athos for fish pie roll that you must try.

Execution Method

We saute the onion, green onions and leek in olive oil for 6-7 minutes on low heat.

We add the fish.

We continue to saute until it changes color.

We add the coarsely chopped spinach.

We leave the filling for 8-10 minutes until it absorbs its liquid.

We remove from the fire.

We season with salt and pepper.

We add the herbs and the fasting cheese.

We mix well until creamy

After the filling has cooled, we prepare the leaves.

We oil and fold each sheet in half.

We put the filling lengthwise, close the sides and make a roll.

Once ready, we fry them in hot olive oil for 3 minutes on each side.

Tips

The pieces may vary depending on the size of the rolls.

We can bake the rolls in the oven at 200 degrees on the resistances, after smearing them with a little oil.
