Fasting ice cream
Ice cream is a beloved treat enjoyed by people of all ages, whether savored on its own or paired with another dessert. Monks have ingeniously adapted the classic recipe to make it fasting-friendly, allowing us to indulge in our favorite sweets even on fasting days. Give this fasting ice cream recipe a try and pair it with a slice of ravani for a delightful combination.
We put the milk in a pot to heat it up.
We mix the sugar with the salepi and pour them into the pot with the milk.
We boil on a low heat and constantly stir the mixture with a wire so that it does not stick.
We remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool.
As soon as it cools down, we beat it in the ice cream machine and put it in the freezer.
We serve with sprinkle pain chocolate and grated almond.
