Make by yourself the best, fluffy, traditional raisin bread, which resembles a little cake because it has no yeast! A fasting recipe from Mount Athos very quick, without a mixer and without special kneading. Very tasty, easy and healthy snack for all the hours of the day and an ideal snack for children at school.

Ingredients
Execution Method

We dissolve the soda and baking powder in the orange juice.

We dissolve the sugar in the olive oil.

We put all the ingredients, except the raisins, in the bowl and mix very well.

We flour the raisins, add them to the dough and knead slightly.

We bake at 180 degrees in a preheated oven for about 45 minutes.

Tips

We add as much flour as we need, until you have a soft dough.

We flour the raisins so that they are evenly distributed in the pan. Otherwise they would all end up at the bottom.

We can use either blonde or black raisins.
