If we have access to fresh Greek Mountain Tea, we harvest it and allow it to dry. Otherwise, we can purchase dried Greek Mountain Tea from specialty stores.
We bring about 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot.
Once the water is boiling, we add 1-2 teaspoons of dried Greek Mountain Tea to the pot.
We adjust the quantity based on our desired strength.
We reduce the heat and let the tea simmer for about 5 minutes, with closed lid.
Then, we strain the tea to separate the liquid from the tea leaves.
We can use a fine mesh sieve or a tea strainer.
Greek Mountain Tea pairs particularly well with honey, adding a touch of natural sweetness.
We can add a slice of lemon to our tea for a refreshing twist.
When boiling the tea, it would be good to tilt the lid so that its flavor is more intense.
