Raisin truffles
This healthy recipe for raisins truffles is very easy and of course fasting. It is one of the recipes from Mount Athos that can be improvised, as it utilizes any materials left over in the monks pastry, such as nuts, raisins etc. Raisins are a humble food with great nutritional value, as they are rich in plant fibers and valuable antioxidants. Make the best truffles yourself and you will have a nutritious treat for your guests during fasting period.
We put the margarine in a bowl and beat it with a mixer until it becomes fluffy.
We slowly add the icing sugar, grated chocolate, vanilla, brandy, raisins and mix constantly.
We leave the mixture in the refrigerator to cool well.
In a bowl, we mix the ingredients for the coating, i.e. the nuts and the truffle.
We take the mixture out of the fridge and form small balls with your hands.
We roll the balls on top of the coating so that it goes everywhere.
The truffles are ready and kept in the refrigerator.
With exactly the same mixture, we can if we want to make a Greek salami instead of truffles.
