This fine oval icon of Saint Triantafyllos is depicted in accordance to the tradition of Orthodox iconography. A lithograph copy is placed on artificial wood, the upper side has a curved shape adds a touch of elegance.
Saint Triantafyllos was born in 1663 in Zagora, Magnesia and engaged in the naval profession. In the summer of 1680, he arrived in Constantinople, where Turks tried to force him to change his religion. Despite the pressure, he remained faithful to Christianity and suffered martyrdom at the age of 18. His memory is commemorated every year on August 8.
