This fine oval icon of Saint Theodosia is depicted in accordance to the tradition of Orthodox iconography. A lithograph copy is placed on artificial wood, whose arched top adds a touch of elegance.
Saint Theodosia came from the city of Tire in Phoenicia. When lord Urvanos discovered that she was a Christian, he tried to persuade her to deny her faith, but she remained unmoved. He endured horrible torture and was finally thrown into the sea. Her memory is commemorated on May 29.
