Holy Monastery of Agiou Pavlou

This miraculous icon is located in a marble shrine, placed on the right column in front of the iconostasis of the katholikon (main church). According to tradition, this icon used to exude myrrh, which is why it took on this name. The fathers of the monastery honor the icon with a supplicatory canon, which is chanted every  Sunday after Vespers and with a special liturgical service, on the first Sunday of October.
