It is a fine serigraph icon of Saint Spyridon [270 - 12th December 348]. The Saint is depicted in a half-body figure holding a flaming piece of pottery in his right palm. It symbolizes the miracle that the Saint presented during the 1st Ecumenical Synod. He held a piece of pottery in his palm and blessed it, first in the name of the Father and a flame came out towards the sky, then in the name of the Son and water poured to the ground, and finally in the name of the Spirit and soil was left in his palm. In this way Saint Spyridon proved that the Trinity is Unique consisting of Three Persons. The original theme is crafted by devoted monks from Mount Athos, following the rich tradition of Orthodox iconography. A copy of this serene synthesis is placed in a gold-toned background and printed on grooved artificial wood. Dimensions: 12.5 X 10 cm / 4.92 X 3.94 in.
