Saint Philip - Lithography on Wood

This fine oval icon of Saint Philip is depicted in accordance to the tradition of Orthodox iconography. A lithograph copy is placed on artificial wood, the upper side has a curved shape adds a touch of elegance.
Saint Philip was a native of Galilee and belonged to the twelve apostles of Jesus. He was chosen by the Lord as His disciple and offered Nathanael faith in Christ. He preached the Gospel in the region of Porthon and suffered a martyr's death in Hierapolis, Syria. His memory is commemorated every year on November 14.
