Saint Eustratius lived during the time of Diocletian and held a high military position. He was captured by Duke Lysias and subjected to severe torture. He was then sent to the prefect Agricola, who tortured him and eventually led to his martyrdom. His skull is in the Holy Monastery of the Great Lavra of Mount Athos. It celebrates on December 13.
