This fine oval icon of Saint Simeon the God-Receiver is depicted in accordance to the tradition of Orthodox iconography. A lithograph copy is placed on artificial wood, the upper side has a curved shape adds a touch of elegance.
Saint Simeon the God-Receiver was a just and pious man, enlightened by the Holy Spirit, which revealed to him that he will not die before he faces Christ. When Jesus was forty days old and they took him to the temple, Simeon rushed to take him in his arms. His memory is commemorated on February 3.
