The icon of Saint Arsenios the Cappadocian honors the humble and miracle-working priest of Cappadocia, who devoted his life to the service of God and His people. Born in 1840 in Cappadocia, he was ordained a priest and became renowned for his simplicity, selflessness, and spiritual gifts. Through the power of prayer and his profound wisdom, he brought comfort and healing to the faithful, becoming a protector and spiritual guide to his community.
After the Asia Minor Catastrophe, Saint Arsenios resettled in Corfu and later in Halkidiki, where he peacefully passed away in 1924. His holy relics are now housed in the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian in Souroti.

Gilding polished iconography is a technique that gives a glossy and smooth texture to sacred icons and on Mount Athos, this tradition is deeply rooted. Using special materials such as egg white, the surface of the icon is carefully polished, enhancing the colors and adding depth, as seen in many Athonite icons renowned for their spiritual power. This iconography is done on natural wood, meticulously prepared by the monks. The wood is coated with gesso to create a stable and smooth base, ensuring that the burnished surface retains its shine and durability over time, remaining worthy of the Athonite tradition.
- The production time for each handmade icon is up to 15 days, plus additional shipping time to your region.
