Saint Philaret - Lithography on Wood

This fine oval icon of Saint Philaret Patron Saint of Beekeeping, is depicted in accordance to the tradition of Orthodox iconography. A lithograph copy is placed on artificial wood, the upper side has a curved shape adds a touch of elegance.
Saint Philaret was an example of kindness and charity. At one point, God allowed him to become very poor, since he lost all his property and was left with only the bees. However, divine providence raised him to preeminence. He is recognized as the patron saint of Beekeeping and his memory is commemorated every year on December 1st.
