Since incense is offered as a sacrifice of spiritual fragrance, its remains are considered blessed. Wait about 1 to 2 minutes until the charcoal is covered in grey ash and glowing red. Then place a few small pieces of Athonite resin incense on top. The heat will slowly release the fragrance.
