Saint Timothy - Lithography on Wood

This fine oval icon of Saint Timothy is depicted in accordance to the tradition of Orthodox iconography. A lithograph copy is placed on artificial wood, the upper side has a curved shape adds a touch of elegance.
Saint Timothy's name translates as "he who honors God" or "he who is honored by God." He was one of the most beloved disciples of the Apostle Paul, who accompanied him on his second apostolic tour. After the martyrdom of the Apostle Paul, Saint Timothy returned to Ephesus, where he continued his missionary work. His memory is commemorated every year on January 22.
